DESCRIPTION:Cantor Jodi Sufrin was raised in Toronto\, Canada. Her home upb
 ringing and early experiences as lay cantor at Holy Blossom Temple in Toro
 nto pointed her in the direction of the cantorate. For many years\, Jodi s
 ang with her older brother specializing in the field of Israeli folk songs
 .  She also pursued a career as a folk singer\, serving as warm-up artist
  for Canadian songwriter and performer\, Dan Hill.  Fortunately\, for all
  of us\, her parents discouraged her from following this path.  Cantor Su
 frin is married to Cantor Roy Einhorn of Temple Israel in Boston.\n\nRoy E
 inhorn was the cantor at Temple Israel in Boston for more than 35 years. 
  Cantor Einhorn graduated from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Re
 ligion School of Sacred Music in 1983.  He oversaw Temple Israel’s B’
 nei Mitzvah Program and taught in the Frances Jacobson Early Childhood Cen
 ter\, the Religious School\, and Teen Education.  In 1986 and 1987\, foll
 owing Temple Israel’s engagement with the Soviet Jewry Movement\, Cantor
  Einhorn went on two missions to the USSR with Temple Israel of Boston col
 leagues Rabbi Bernard Mehlman and Rabbi Ronne Friedman.  Cantor Einhorn c
 ontinues his engagement with the refuseniks back in the U.S. until today.
   Today\, Temple Israel and Cantor Einhorn are engaged with supporting Sy
 rian refugees in the Boston area.
