DESCRIPTION:Sheldon Goldberg\, a Silver Spring resident and Vietnam War vet
 eran who is determined to keep the stories of Jewish military veterans ali
 ve. Through his work as a docent at the National Museum of American Jewish
  Military History in Washington\, and his numerous book reviews and 30 yea
 rs of service in the Air Force\, Goldberg\, 83\, is driven to dispel any n
 otion that Jews do not serve in the military. His involvement in the Jewis
 h War Veterans is part of this mission. “The Jewish War Veterans program
  was established in 1896 to counter anti-Semitism and the complaints that 
 existed back then that Jews did not fight in the Civil War\,” said Goldb
 erg. He will be joined for a panel discussion by Rabbi Jordan Adler\, Larr
 y Wolf\, and Rabbi Samuel Stahl.
